Shipping & Inspection Agreement

This Shipping & Inspection Agreement (“Agreement”) explains the process and responsibilities involved when shipping an instrument to iBuyLesPaul.com for inspection and purchase evaluation. By shipping your guitar to us, you agree to the following terms.
1. Shipping Options
1.1 Prepaid Label (Provided by Us)
If we send you a prepaid label:
- The label must be used exactly as provided.
- You must follow the packing requirements listed on website.
- Insurance coverage is not provided by us, this is the users responsibility.
- Insurance coverage is limited to the amount specified by the carrier.
1.2 Self-Paid Shipping (Paid by You)
You may choose to ship the guitar using your own carrier and insurance.
You are fully responsible for all costs and risks until delivery.
2. Packing Requirements
To be eligible for inspection and insurance coverage, you must pack the guitar using the following standards:
Required:
- Hard case or gig bag (hard case recommended)
- Minimum 2–3 inches of padding around all sides
- Strings loosened
- No movement allowed inside the case
- Outer box with at least 2 inches of padding between case and box
- All seams taped securely
Not Allowed:
- Shipping without a case or bag
- Using insufficient padding
- Shipping the guitar loose in a box
Failure to follow packing guidelines may void shipping protection.
3. Condition Verification & Final Offer
After receiving your instrument, we will:
- Verify authenticity
- Inspect for structural, cosmetic, and functional condition
- Compare condition to the details you submitted
- Provide a final offer
If the instrument differs from your description, the final offer may be adjusted accordingly.
4. Acceptance or Decline of Final Offer
If You Accept:
- Payment is issued within 1–2 business days.
- Ownership transfers to DOKS, Inc. upon payment confirmation.
If You Decline:
Your guitar will be returned to you.
Return shipping terms:
- If we provided the original prepaid label → return shipping may be deducted from the offer or charged separately.
- If you paid to ship us the guitar → return shipping is your responsibility.
We will ship the instrument back using the same carrier class or equivalent.
5. Damage, Loss, and Liability
Damage During Transit to Us
- If using our prepaid label: your instrument is covered only up to the carrier’s insurance limit that was purchased on your behalf, shipping insurance is NOT provided by us.
- If you pack improperly, any insurance claim may be denied.
- DOKS, Inc. is not responsible for damage caused by poor packing.
Damage During Return Shipping
- Same carrier insurance rules apply.
- DOKS, Inc. is not responsible for carrier handling issues.
Lost Packages
- Carrier insurance policies apply.
- DOKS, Inc. will assist in claims but is not financially liable beyond insurance coverage.
6. Prohibited Shipments
You agree not to ship:
- Stolen or illegally obtained instruments
- Counterfeit instruments
- Instruments with removed or altered serial numbers
- Items containing hazardous materials
Violation may be reported to law enforcement.
7. Fraud Prevention
All serial numbers and identifying features are documented during inspection.
Any fraudulent claims or attempted scams may result in:
- Termination of the transaction
- Return shipment at your cost
- Reporting to authorities
8. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Florida.
Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Pasco County, FL.
